What Our Guests are Eating

Serving you good quality homemade food is our mission...providing you the best breakfast in town has been one of our primary goals since becoming innkeepers. We will continue to serve our signature dishes and we will be offering new recipes and dishes throughout the year including specials for holidays. Special requests are always welcome, we'll gladly try accommodate gluten free, dairy free and vegan dishes, please let us know at the time of your reservation of any special requests

Breakfast Service

We ask guests to come in any time between 8:30 - and 9 am start time. We can occasionally pull up to 8 am if guests are collectively attending a conference in town. This time is chosen because we work to get continental breakfast service delivered to the cottages between 8 - 8:30 or at 9:30 after guests partaking in the dining room service are seated and serving is completed. We offer a no breakfast rate for those that are either not breakfast eaters and would prefer to sleep in or those that have early departure plans. Since check out is at 11 am, breakfast service is typically completed by 10:30 to allow for packing up on departure days. Once check out has been completed, rooms are "turned" and cleaned between 11 - 2 pm for incoming guests. The full dining room hot breakfast meal is only served in the dining room, guests preferring a less social and smaller meal, can choose the continental breakfast service, delivered to the cottage when making a reservation or upon check in. 

Please send a note to the innkeeper when you make your reservation if you have any special food restrictions or requests. We will try to accommodate almost anything if we can, if we cannot, we'll let you know. We typically accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, low sugar and no dairy among the common requests. 

A typical weekend breakfast will include homemade selections such as: Eggs Benedict with fresh spring asparagus, spiral glazed ham, roasted potato medley stacks, Cinnamon Bread Waffles with Pecan Syrup, Fresh Fruit and Berries with Yogurt, Homemade  Muffins with Arkansas blueberries and who know's what other goody we'll have out as a surprise....Hope that's enough! Juice, coffee and tea of course..........

BYA - because you asked...we will gladly serve our "lite side" breakfast including fresh fruit and yogurt, turkey bacon or sausage and an Egg Beaters or egg white omlet with vegetables. We will leave off the muffins, waffles, pancakes, sausage and gravy at your request! Here's to a healthy year!

Signature Breakfast Items - I rotate through various daily menus to make sure each and every guest eats something different each day. The items below represent the "chef's choice"  items that you'll find on our breakfast table depending upon the season.

For Starters

  • Fresh Seasonal Fruit
  • Berry Parfait with Greek Vanilla Yogurt, topped with Granola
  • Zinfendel poached pear with blueberries, yogurt and candied slivered almonds
  • Baked Seasonal Fruit Crisps
  • Fresh baked Blueberry, Banana Walnut, Pumpkin or Cranberry Muffins
  • Season bread pudding with fruit and vanilla sauce 


Main Courses

  • Eggs Benedict on a bed of creamed parmesan spinach
  • Spinach, Mushroom and Bacon Quiche
  • Ham with Pepperjack and Cheddar chees Quiche
  • Farmer's Breakfast Bake with scrabled egg, mushrooms, peppers and feta cheese wrapped in flaky phyllo dough
  • Waffles with Southern Fried Chicken strips served with creamy peppered gravy or maple honey syrup
  • Blackberry Cream Cheese stuffed Cinnabon French Toast
  • Belgain Waffles with sliced strawberries and seasonal berries
  • Maple Glazed Thick Siced Pepper Bacon
  • Pork Link or Patty Sausage
  • Bratwurst in spiced glaze
  • Country ham with sliced parmesan potatoes
  • Breakfast Quesadilla's (Bacon & Cheddar, Ham & Swiss)
  • Spicy Sausage Southwestern Casserole
  • German Bratwurst with Pumpkin stuffed french toast
